One thing I believe we all have in common is the longing to fit in somewhere, to have a place we belong. Some may refer to it as a calling, mission or something that fulfills us. Others describe it as the need to feel valued, vital and important. Well, I’m telling you that you are already special, needed and valuable. Just like a puzzle piece, you are unique and a vital part of the big picture – it is incomplete without you. When you serve at Crossroads, it is noticed and deeply appreciated by so many people. Can you imagine walking in next Sunday and there’s nobody to greet you, no coffee, no bulletin? What if we played CD music and there wasn’t any communion? There is so much that happens only because of our wonderful volunteers here.
Now it’s your turn – sign up for the first time or add something new. In the bulletin you will find a special card giving you the chance to check the boxes next to the volunteer openings that you are interested in. Furthermore, if you bring that card to the Welcome Center after services, I will bribe…I mean, reward you with chocolate!! So…mark a few boxes and come say hello – I’ll be the one with the smile and the chocolate…and hopefully surrounded by new volunteers.
